Accountemps is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. As the Accounting Clerk, your skillset will become a vast contribution to the International Construction Company. Based out of the Thousand Palms, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short term temporary opening. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

• Accomplish full-cycle A/P

• Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

• Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable

• Document coding experience required

• Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
